- SCB Maps is a display of maps at municipality level and (some) at country level.
- SCB Geodata refers to data with finer resolution, e.g. localities/urban areas,
km grid maps, postal zip code areas etc, and we display them with free map images,
whereas datasets and coordinate files for GIS have to be purchased.
Maps, by subject area
Here you will find thematic maps at municipality level
and some at country level, based on SCB's Statistical Database.
Subject areas: Population, Labour market, Housing and construction, Foreign trade (Swedens's export/import).
N.b. The Swedish version covers more subjects, and has more commentary texts.

Data with resolution below municipalities: e.g. urban areas/localities, km grid maps, zip code areas,..
Map images are displayed with zoom/pan/info tools. Some data are free but coordinate files and more specialized
data has to be bought from:

Digital borders for use in GIS -
for municipalities (kommuner)
and counties, in ArcView shape and Mapinfo formats.
